Compartir
has resulted in concrete ways of revitalization:
a)
Since seven years ago, 2,700 pastoral agents have
joined in 29 dioceses and more than 400 parishes
implementing the program.
b)
Parishes participating in the plan have broadened
their point of view and deepened their links with
their communities. See under Experiences.
c)
New agents, new activities and projects: 2001
Evaluation reports that 28 new people per parish have
applied for Times and Gifts proposal. An estimate of
20 persons per parish is actually serving in the plan,
meaning 7,000 new active members in our Church.
d)
Better understanding of the economic dimension
impacting Parishes’ pastoral work.
Stewardship
Councils were formed at Diocesan Level.
a)
Where Stewardship Councils already existed, Compartir
contributed effectively to broaden their tasks and
functions.
b)
Some dioceses made these Councils after Compartir was
implemented in the dioceses, for ex. Comodoro
Rivadavia, Ssma. Concepción, Resistencia.
Stewardship
Councils at Parish Level.
a)
85% of the 400 parishes working with Compartir have
already formed their Stewardship Councils.
b)
They have admitted more members, work actively, and
meet on regular basis.
c)
They have become more aware of the pastoral nature of
their work. They have developed more concrete
initiatives and started to work closer to their
Pastoral Councils.
The
Plan is highly accepted.
Compartir’s
spirit and mission is greatly valued. Agents
appreciate Compartir’s contribution to a higher
participation and support. Although, agents admit that
they encounter some problems to implement Compartir at
the beginning, they could work them out after making
the necessary adjustments.
Compartir
has helped to communicate the Economic Reform
Principles to the Communities,
and it has provided tools to prepare a Catechesis on
Communion of Goods.
a)
More than 180, 000 Pastoral letters were printed.
Compartir la Multiforme Gracia de Dios -quantity 144,
.000 - and several brochures on the Catechesis of
Communion of Goods were distributed. See under
Materials.
b)
Presentations in 45 dioceses. A sort of 4,500 people -
100 people per dioceses – has attended Compartir’s
presentations.
c)
Presentations in National and Diocesan Seminars, i.e.
Enadir, EAC, ACA, Deplai,
X
Congreso Eucarístico Nacional, Juntas
Diocesanas de Catequesis, Caritas diocesanas, etc.
Provided
training to priests, religious community members, and
laypersons.
a)
190 workshops were delivered to Parishes’ and
Dioceses’ teams and their pastors, involving 3,200
people.
b)
Five National Seminars have been held to train, to
interchange experiences and to evaluate Diocesan Teams.
Lay persons, Priests, Bishops and Religious brothers
and sisters attended them, i.e. 450 people.
c)
Presentation and courses were developed in several
Priests’ Schools, such as, Mercedes-Luján, San Martín,
Morón, Resistencia, and Gualeguaychú.
d)
National Seminars for Diocesan Stewards: Compartir
attended 6 Seminars. 70% of the Country’s dioceses
were represented.
e)
Workshops were delivered at the CEMIN (Comisión
Episcopal de Ministerios). The workshop program
included a minicourse on the Economic Reform and Plan
Compartir. Those courses were designed and developed
by members of Compartir’s National team. Many
Pastors attending those workshop implemented Compartir
in their parishes when coming back home. Some became
pioneers in their dioceses. (Ex. Bs. As., Córdoba,
Rosario, and Lomas de Zamora). 700 out of 5,000
diocesan priests currently working in Argentina have
attended these workshops.
f)
Presentations to Religious Communities: Don Orione’s
Sisters, Dehonianos, Salesians, and Betharramitas
Brothers.
Resource
management has become more transparent.
a)
Where Compartir was implemented, the Stewardship
Council and not an individual as in the past became
the decision maker on resource management. Priorities
have been better defined and decisions have been
widely accepted.
b)
Communities are better kept informed on accounts
managements and Parishes’ activities are widely
reported. See under Indicators.
Higher
awareness of decision making on critical matters.
a)
Pastors: They value the Stewardship Council’s work,
and so they delegate more. Now, those Councils deal
with critical issues, such as, insurance, payroll,
etc.
b)
Lay people: they participate more, assume more
responsibilities, and donate more time and money.
Institutions working at the parishes have improved the
relationship among their members, and so more people
have joined in, as agents, volunteers or donors.
Several
parishes reported higher incomes coming for Mass
collection.
a)
Before 2001’s Argentinean socioeconomic crisis,
parishes income was estimated in 30%.
b)
After December 2001: While many parishes showed a
decrease in their incomes, the ones working with
Compartir not only sustained it but also improved it.
For instance, Parish Santa Rosa de Lima (city of
9 de Julio), San Bernardo de Salta, San José Obrero
de Goya, Ntra. Sra. de la Candelaria de Bs. As., etc.
