In
2003, the National Team evaluated the performance of the Plan. More
than 50 bishops and other 50 pastoral agents (laypeople, priests and
religious) in the 20 dioceses Compartir was working at that time.
As
a whole, everybody agreed that the Plan was positive in all aspects,
i.e. mission, tools, material and training.
They highlighted that Compartir:
|
-
Contribute to the Evangelization process by instilling and
fostering in the people an awareness of being Church.
-
Fosters greater participation, solidarity and communion.
-
Facilitates better alignment. It works together with the
Pastoral programs. It arouses interest, leads to positive
attitudes, and gains commitment among agents. It also helps
increase laypeople’s monetary contributions. |
Most common difficulties encountered when implementing Compartir are:
|
-
Low
commitment among clergy.
-
Lack of educated and/ or persevere lay persons.
-
Cross cultural problems or structure problems. |
All
this helped us review the Plan to improve it:
Communities
had to play a more important role when implementing it.
Therefore, the Plan has become more flexible to be customized better
to the Community’s needs.
Timing
and methodology have been improved.
